Paige Joins our team!

We're thrilled to introduce our new team member, Paige!

With 10 years of experience in the hairdressing industry and over 8 years as a qualified stylist, Paige is a valuable addition to our team. Her warm and approachable personality creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for clients… if you like a good old fashion natter Paige is your gal!

Paige's creativity shines when she's creating bouncy blow-dries and updos. She loves the diversity of clients and helping them feel confident in their appearance. Her talents even took her to Graduate Fashion Week in London, where she spent 3 days working with L'Oréal to create hairstyles for the catwalk.

When she's not working, Paige likes to unwind with gaming and landscape photography. She also enjoys spending time outdoors. We're excited for Paige to start at Hays Salon and for our clients to meet her!

Beth Joins the Team!

Back by popular demand… We're excited to announce that Beth is back in town!

She previously worked at Hays Salon around 3 years ago, but left to pursue a self-employed career and teaching.

With over 8 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, Beth brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to each of her clients. She loves to experiment with cool techniques like balayage to achieve the perfect lived-in look, and always finishes her styles with soft waves or a bouncy blowdry. She is approachable, bubbly, fun, and easy to relate to, and enjoys chatting with her clients to get to know them better. Beth is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest trends, whether you're looking for a new cut, a fresh color, or just some styling tips.

Not only is she a talented hairdresser, but Beth is also a qualified training assessor who enjoys mentoring and developing the next generation of hairdressers. In 2020, she won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Star Award and is currently a Top 10 Finalist in the Hair and Beauty Awards 2023.

Outside of work, Beth is a dog mum to a gorgeous Frenchie named Frankie, but don't be fooled by the cuteness! She also plays netball and loves going to watch football and rugby.

We're thrilled to have Beth back on the team, and we know that our clients will be too.

Had an amazing day down in London at the L’Oreal Academy. This was my prize for winning L’Oreal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award⭐️

A day full of inspiration, education and celebration🎉

It was great to meet @sallybrookshair and @fredletailleur to speak about their experiences within the industry. We also looked at trends and content creation.

Amy

Helen - Stylist at Hays Salon

Helen joined Hays Salon mid-covid, so for the first year we didn’t know what she looked like.

Helen has been a stylist for just over 5 years. She loves creating natural, wearable hair whether it’s a balayage transformation or cutting a choppy bob. Helen is calm, relaxed and nothing seems to phase her (well she doesn’t show it), making her clients feel at ease and giving them a truly relaxing experience.

She’s had many different jobs in her working life. Once a florist she made a bouquet of flowers for the queen! She’s definitely found her vocation in hairdressing, which allows her creativity to flourish.

Outside of work she is either gardening, walking Margo the golden retriever or supping Earl Grey over a jolly good book.

Helen’s a great addition to the team, she brings an air of calm. These next few years we’ll be working together to develop and perfect her natural talent.

Amy - Stylist at Hays Salon

Amy joined Hays over 3 years ago, passionate to become a hairdresser she flew through her apprenticeship, not even Covid got in her way.

Now a stylist she’s gaining valuable experience on the salon floor, developing her creative repertoire.

Amy entered her first colour competition early this year, the L’Oreal Colour Trophy New Talent Award and she only went and WON IT! We’re all heading down to London to celebrate her achievement at the awards ceremony.

Outside of work Amy has just moved in to her lovely new home, so weekends are spent dragging her boyfriend round Ikea. She also loves a good bottomless brunch and her favourite drink has to be pink gin… or any gin for that matter!

Amy is incredibly driven and isn’t afraid to push her abilities and learn, definitely one to watch! Well done on achieving so much already, we’re so proud of you! #teamhays #stylist #lct22 #lct22winner

Mia has joined the team

Mia joined the team in December and is well on her way to becoming a hairstylist at Hays and is loving every minute!

The Leeds lass found her passion for hairdressing at 16 when she started working as an assistant in ‘t local salon. Years later she found herself at Hull Uni studying as well as doing people’s hair on the side…. Realising that hair was more her thing she decided to follow her heart and go for it. Mia loves camping, live music and attending the occasional fishing expo (not out of choice). Welcome Georgia

Welcome Gerogia!

Gerogia has jointed the team as an apprentice hairdresser, she’s only been here a few weeks and already feels part of the family.

As a child she was mesmerized by her Grandmas mobile hairdresser, and ever since she’s had a keen interest in hairdressing. Never afraid of hardwork, she’s already bagged a degree, now she wants a career in hairdressing…. while coaching gymnastics on the evening! Georgia is always needing models for training so let us know if your interested. We’re excited that Georgia has joined the team and looking forward to seeing her hairdressing career progress. #hayssalon #teamhays

Amy has WON the L’Oreal Colour Trophy 2022 Future Talent Award!

Congratulations to our super star Amy who has WON the L’Oreal Colour Trophy – Future Talent Award!

She had to create a well-executed, inspirational and modern colour and cut, taking inspiration from upcoming trends which was judged by a panel of industry experts.

She was selected as one of 5 winners in the whole of the UK!  

While running a busy column Amy worked tirelessly to create this finished look. She only qualified in October so to achieve this so early on is remarkable, we are so proud of you Amy well done!
